Why EBLI?

EBLI stands for Evidenced-Based Literacy Instruction. It was created by Nora Chabazi. EBLI is sometimes called Speech to Print, Linguistic Phonics, or Structured Linguistic Literacy. Students who have previously floundered and failed to progress in traditional Orton-Gillingham programs have found remarkable success with EBLI.

EBLI makes a rapid difference in the life of a struggling reader. It starts with what is natural to nearly every child--oral language. "Speech First" activities show children the bridge between their oral language and written language with activities that connect handwriting, reading, spelling, comprehension, vocabulary, phonemic awareness, fluency, and written expression.
